My last post was right before California declared a Stay-at-Home Order due to COVID-19. Needless to say, normal life has been a little different since then. Lots of things are the same, like staying home. We were homebodies even before COVID-19, so staying in is not a big deal for us.
Don’t get me wrong, the anxiety that first came with the “lockdown” hit us as well. It’s not a good feeling when your choices are taken away. Simple things like going to a restaurant to eat was not an option. Spending time with family and friends, all of a sudden could be a risky act. The freedom to choose our activity was stripped down. It was uncomfortable and unsettling. But, I’m happy to say, we adjusted and are doing well. Everyone is healthy. And for that, I am ever so grateful!
Now, on to the point of this post.
CRYSTALS, as in beautiful, magickal, baubles of joy. I have always been into rocks and crystals. I find peace in them.
I see a pile of large rocks and I ‘ooh and aah’. I paint kindness rocks so for me, this is like a pile of free canvas! When driving down the highway and there’s a raw edge to a cliffside, I notice the striations in the dirt. I don’t know what it all means, but I like seeing the different textures and colors.
And, I’ve always loved crystals, even before I learned they had meaning. I loved the different colors and shapes. Some looked like candy. Others like painted glass. Some could look like art. And the best part of it, is that it’s all natural. Mother Nature designed all of it.
Then I learned, crystals actually had spiritual meaning and healing properties! Mind blown. And my attraction to them was magnetized a thousand times over.
But unfortunately, as I have a tendency to do, I get distracted and I fall away from my interest. I don’t lose the interest per se, I just don’t feed it. This starvation happened with my interest in crystals. Until very recently, when my love of magickal baubles was reignited. Like a giddy child, I am obsessed with crystals. I hope to keep feeding this interest and never starve it again.
I plan to learn and expand my knowledge of crystals and I will share what I learn here.
This is exciting!
